Casper's Home Trust is an Animal welfare organization in Agra, committed to serving animals and connecting with all like-minded activists and NGOs to network for the same. We are running a shelter for ailing street dogs, housing almost 200 of them at the shelter, made on privately owned land in an area of 250 sq yards, feeding over 300 street animals, and also running an animal helpline to attend to complaints about all animals in distress. Our second unit at the adjacent plot is under construction at the moment. Caspers Home Trust is now also an AWBI (Animal Welfare Board of India) certified organization.
Caspers Home Trust has also conducted successful Anti-Rabies Vaccine (ARV) drives, for street dogs in different localities of Agra. Plus we carry out sterilization for the same, along with awareness sessions in various schools, on how to coexist with animals, for the adoption of desi dogs, and to expose the brutal face of the breeding industry.
Casper's Home Trust holds a proud record of saving almost 8000 plus animals till date, consisting of dogs, cows, monkeys, bulls, horses, which includes on-the-spot treatment, ARV issues, re-homing, cruelty cases, etc. We have got more than 4000 dogs sterilized, and more than 100 dogs adopted in 8 years' time. With your support, we will continue to achieve more, accommodate more needy dogs and serve distressed animals, always. We are in the process of building our second unit for the same.
Casper's Home Trust was nominated for the Best Street Care Award at Clarks Awards at FIAPO conference,2019 Hyderabad. We also were recipients of the International Shining World Compassion Award by Supreme Master Ching Hai, USA, in 2021. We won the prestigious recognition from the Animal Welfare Board of India (AWBI) in 2022.
We are an 80g certified organization.
Casper’s home is a private shelter home. However, when our baby, our pet, Casper was mowed down by a roadways bus, right in front of our eyes, we were left with bitter experiences during our battle of justice for Casper. That's when the idea of running a shelter for the needy dogs started taking shape and soon, numbers started overflowing at our shelter. People trusted us and we too were emotionally attached with all our rescued babies. Due to lack of support and funds, we had to get a trust registered and with the help of some well-meaning people, we are running a dedicated helpline for all the street animals.
Striving for creating a compassionate world by raising mass awareness, raising a compassionate future generation and removing the discrimination against our native Indian breeds and creating a truly independent India.
We do not believe in running 9 to 5 helplines, because you cannot look at the clock, if you have to save a precious life. For this even if our own field paravet is unavailable, we pay another freelance paravet to get the treatment done. Our volunteers too help us in rescues,house-checks,transportation and first-aid. We are committed towards sending help for animals and animal lovers in every corner of our city.
